About Me

Welkom, bienvenue, wilkommen, bienvenida and welcome to Roller Coaster Traveller.

Who is Roller Coaster Traveller?

My name is Glenn, I’m 32 years old and I live in a small town near Antwerp, Belgium. I’ve always loved visiting theme parks and riding roller coasters. Writing about those experiences is part of the fun for me. At first, I posted my trip reports on Belgian and Dutch amusement park forums. Later, I decided to start this website to bundle all those reports and photo galleries. As of March 2022, Roller Coaster Traveller features 134 theme park reports and more than 7.400 photos.

What’s your favourite theme park?

I’ve had great experiences at many theme parks, but Tokyo DisneySea is my favourite one. This is by far the most immersive theme park on Earth. It’s inspired by the seven seas and the setting is truly amazing. Erupting volcanoes, huge steam ships and a piece of Venice which looks more authentic than the one in Italy… nothing seems impossible in this Japanese world of perfection.

What’s the roller coaster you’ve ridden the most?

Honestly, I didn’t count. However, the answer to this question is probably Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Walt Disney Studios in Paris. I’ve had the privilege of completing an internship at Disneyland Paris in 2011. As you might expect, most of my free time was spent at the Disney parks. The line for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was generally short, so I rode it multiple times per week at that time. Sounds freaky, right?

Any other interests?

Theme parks and coasters are fun, but I enjoy other activities as well. Hiking, for example, is one of the things I like the most. Our trips to Argentina and Australia included some strenuous, but extremely rewarding hikes. Besides, I also love dining and sipping cocktails. By the way… the Singapore Sling is my favourite cocktail. Be sure to try this refreshing drink of the gods if you ever travel to the hottest island state of Southeast Asia.

Any websites you can recommend?

Of course I’m encouraging you to keep browsing Roller Coaster Traveller for eternity. However, these websites are definitely worth a visit as well:
